Ventilation For Acceptable Indoor Air Quality

Specifies minimum ventilation rates and other measures intended to provide indoor air quality (IAQ) that is acceptable to human occupants and that minimizes adverse health effects. Intended for regulatory application to new buildings, additions to existing buildings, and those changes to existing buildings that are identified in the body of the standard. Intended to be used to guide the improvement of IAQ in existing buildings. Applies to spaces intended for human occupancy within buildings except those within dwelling units in residential occupancies in which occupants are nontransient. Defines requirements for ventilation and air-cleaning-system design, installation, commissioning, and operation and maintenance. Dual units of measurement.

HYDROGEN DETECTION APPARATUS —STATIONARY APPLICATIONS

This International Standard defines the performance requirements and test methods of hydrogen detection apparatus that is designed to measure and monitor hydrogen concentrations in stationary applications. The provisions in this International Standard cover the hydrogen detection apparatus used to achieve the single and/or multilevel safety operations, such as nitrogen purging or ventilation and/or system shut-off corresponding to the hydrogen concentration. The requirements applicable to the overall safety system, as well as the installation requirements of such apparatus, are excluded. This International Standard sets out only the requirements applicable to a product standard for hydrogen detection apparatus, such as precision, response time, stability, measuring range, selectivity and poisoning.

Approval Standard for Combustible Gas Detectors

This standard is concerned with the details of construction, performance and testing of portable, mobile and stationary electrical instruments that sense the presence of combustible gas or vapor concentrations in air. This standard considers the suitability of the instruments or parts thereof for use in Class I, hazardous (classified) locations as defined by the National Electrical Code® (ANSI/NFPA 70).This standard contains requirements for combustible gas detectors of the fixed, portable and transportable types. The following product categories and class numbers are included in the scope of this standard.This standard applies to line-voltage operated instruments rated at 250V nominal or less, and to portable, mobile, or stationary-type instruments supplied by battery of a non rechargeable (primary) type or a rechargeable (secondary) type.For intrinsically safe instruments, this standard applies only to systems which utilize defined associated intrinsically safe apparatus (protective barrier assemblies). ‘‘Entity’’ concept does not apply to the performance Approval of combustible gas detectors._x000D_
